Not much! Please put your baby’s diaper on a bit loosely so that the marks won’t take long to disappear. If you are formula or pumping to feed, pack an extra feeding or two just in case. If you have something special that you would like to incorporate into the session I am more than happy to do so! Please send me a photo of it beforehand so we can plan accordingly.
Usually no. Unless the scratch is significant, I can use photoshop to remove it. Send me a photo, but I’ve never had to reschedule due to this.
As far as safety, I worked in Labor and Delivery with some incredible nurses who passed on loads of information over 5 years. I am also CPR and First Aid certified. Photography wise, I am mostly self taught through online classes. I have taken a full day training with one of the best photographers in the world, Kelly Brown, as well as multiple shorter classes locally with schools and photographers.
My goal in capturing a birth is to capture the emotions and story that are such an important part of the day. Birth is unpredictable, and sometimes very fast! I’ve never missed a birth where communication was consistant, so that is key! If I miss the actual delivery, I will arrive as soon afterwards as possible, and capture all the details and emotions in the time that follows. Refunds are not possible due to the on call schedule that leads up to a birth.
Yes, I do. Please send me an email with details of what you are wanting, but all of my sessions have availability to be customized.
Extremely! I love kids! I usually do photos with siblings first if possible, so that they can play without you stressing about their clothes or hair getting messed up. I try to make it fun, while stressing the importance of being careful around baby.
I do my best to be there the next morning. If you know you are going to deliver on or around a certain date, let me know. When you go into labor, let me know. When you deliver, let me know, and at that time we will schedule your session.
I have over 20 designer gowns that you can choose from for your session. I do recommend shape wear (Motherhood Maternity brand is great!) or at least nude colored underwear and a nude colored bra (strapless if possible). If you would prefer to wear your own clothes, I recommend solid colors. Jewelry, makeup, and hair is up to you. I do have several names and info for hair and makeup people if you want them. Locations depend on what you want. I have a large number of public, private, and semi-private locations that you will help me decide on based on what you are wanting during the session. Some locations do have additional costs that you will be responsible for paying for. If a location requires a permit, you will be responsible for acquiring that before the start of a session.

Of course! We may have to discuss a few travel fees depending on the situation, but I'm flexible.
Most all of the time, I do my own editing. The only time I send them off is if something comes up and I won’t be able to get the images to you as soon as I promised.
If you are getting married in an exotic location, absolutely I do! For all other sessions, I will refer you to a photographer who finds more joy in photographing these sessions than I do.
